It depends on how steep the fall is and what's underneath. Stepped keeps the panels level with small gaps under the low side; raked follows the ground. Colorbond usually steps, timber can do either. We confirm the approach when we measure.
Do I need the retaining wall done before the fence?
If the fence sits on top of the wall, yes — and we build both as one job so the wall is designed to carry it. Walls over 1m need engineering and are outside our scope.
