We build up to 1m high

Our retaining walls go up to 1m high — approximately 5 sleepers. That covers the vast majority of residential level changes: a fall across the backyard, a cut for a shed or pool pad, a step down to a driveway, or levelling a boundary before a new fence goes on. If your site needs more height than that, we'll tell you straight up so you can get an engineered solution instead of a wall that isn't right for the job.

Concrete sleeper or timber

Concrete sleepers set into galvanised or powder-coated steel posts are the go-to — no rot, no termites, and a clean modern face. Treated timber sleepers cost less and suit a softer garden look. Either way the wall gets proper drainage: agi line, gravel backfill, and somewhere for water to actually go.

Wall and fence in one job

Most of our wall jobs finish with a Colorbond or timber fence sitting straight on top. Doing both together means one crew, one price, one visit — and the fence line ends up level instead of chasing the old ground.

What is the 1m height limit about?

We specialise in retaining walls up to 1m high (approximately 5 sleepers). Walls above this height require engineering design and are outside our scope.

Do I need council approval for a retaining wall?

Retaining walls under 1m in height typically do not require approval. Requirements can vary depending on overlays such as flood, landslide or heritage. We can advise based on your property.

Do you handle drainage?

We recommend appropriate drainage to support the performance and longevity of the wall. Requirements vary depending on the site and project.

Who is responsible for underground services?

Known underground services should be identified before works start. We recommend contacting Before You Dig Australia (BYDA) so nothing is hit during excavation.
